Ann Colgin, a former Sothebys wine auctioneer, founded Colgin Cellars in 1992with a vision of making the finest wines from hillside vineyards. The Colgin wines have been instrumental in establishing Napa Valley’s reputation for exquisite small production hand-crafted wines. The East/Southeast-facing “IX Estate” with its intensely rocky, red soil sits atop the Pritchard Hill area and is tended by the extraordinary talents of vineyard manager David Abreu. Winemaker Allison Tauziet’s use of the gravity-flow winery and a subtle touch in the cellar produce wines that are literally and geographically at the top of Napa Valley.
